Elisabet Alsos Strand fekk eit tresnitt med på Haustutstillinga 2011! Til trykking er det brukt oljebaserte fargar men uttrykket er inspirert av japansk tresnitt - bokashi. Elisabet has a print on the national annual exhibition. She used oilbased colours but the print is inspired by the Japanese printing technique - bokashi.
In 2009 Astruptunet had an exhibition showing that the artist Nikolai Astrup studied the prints of japanese artists as Hokusai, Hiroshige and Keisai Eisen. The Japanese art historian Fumiko Ito did research which can be read in the catalogue produced this year. The catalogue is both in Norwegian and English and produced by the Sogn and Fjordane Art Museum.
I 2009 viste Astruptunet ei utstilling som viste at Nikolai Astrup blei kjent med tresnitt laga av m.a. Hokusai, Keisai Eisen og Hiroshige. Kunsthistorikaren Fumiko Ito har forska på dette og har skrive teksten i katalogen som kom ut i 2011. Katalogen er produsert av Sogn og Fjordane Kunstmuseum.

Etter Kyoto med buss til Awaji for resten av programmet. Eg fekk ein bentoboks med vegetarmat. In the buss from Kyoto to Awaji I ate the vegetarian bentobox I got.
The Westin hotel by night. Tadao Ando er arkitekten. Sirklar og lyset. I helga var det småbarns familier som kom for å gløyme kvardagslivet. Many Japanese come for a romantic weekend and some days far away from daily life.
